Klarocare
I will be sharing my experience designing a caregiver app for caregiving support in Germany. The aim was to create a platform that provided users with interactive and easy support. 🚀
Understanding caregiver needs
In 2024, I joined an incredible team at the Digital Product School to tackle one of the most pressing challenges in Germany: the shortage of 150,000 nurses and the growing demands of an aging population. Together, we built Klarocare, a platform designed to empower home caregivers with essential resources, support, and training.
The design process began with a thorough analysis of users needs. I conducted surveys and focus groups to identify the challenges they faced and what features would most benefit their caregiving experience. Throughout the design process, I emphasized creating an engaging and interactive interface that would help users and build the trust to chat with Klarocare💚
The Problem: How might we help Caregivers?
Home caregivers face countless painpoints some of them are:

Limited access to resources 📚
The question was clear: How can we make caregiving easier, more efficient, and more rewarding?
Designing interactive chat and support
We envisioned a platform that supports caregivers and provides guidance every step of the way. Klarocare became the answer—a solution created by healthcare professionals, tech experts, and designers (like me!) with a shared passion for improving home caregiving. 💡✨
I focused on designing interactive AI Chat and Support based on the insights gathered. These included multimedia elements such as videos and audio clips to make helping more engaging and effective.
Conducted interviews with caregivers to uncover their pain points
Prototyping Solutions 📐: I designed wireframes in Figma, focusing on a clean and intuitive user experience.
Validation ✅: We tested our MVP with caregivers, gathering feedback to refine our features.
One standout feature was Ask Klaro, a virtual assistant answering critical questions like:
How do I balance caregiving with my work?
What’s the process to get care money? 💶
How do I check blood sugar levels?
This feature became a lifeline for caregivers who often felt lost. 🗺️
Challenges: The Journey wasn't easy!
Switching from Figma to FlutterFlow midway posed a design challenge. However, it taught me adaptability and collaboration with developers to ensure a seamless product experience. 🤝
